Former partner of Batman, Robin had left the city of Gotham to strike out on his own, and had chosen Jump City for it's distance from Batman's city, and for the lack of heros there at time. Seeing this as a chance to hone his skills, and to do go, he started to work from the shadows - until Starfire's subsquent escape from her captors from an almost alien invasion done. After all is said and done, the young man found himself with a motley crew of teenagers with a desire to do something, and had found himself in a relucant role as leader, being the most experienced out of all of them.
Overtime, he grew to care for them like they were an extended family - even if they do aggravate him sometimes with their antics.
Robin is the reserved, but not unfriendly leader, he is usually a voice of reason amongst the others - usually, but not always. The teen has a quick temper, and even now still has problems telling his teammates what's eating at him. There is the fact he tends to develop obsessive traits that sometimes makes him unbearable to deal with.
